All Souls Church of Boulder, CO “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

Kirk and Debbie Adkisson, Pastor of All Souls Church of Boulder, CO

My wife, Deb, and I moved to Boulder from St. Louis in November of ’04 to start a church. It was, and still is, our desire to be part of a church that meets people right where they are in life, not demanding they change and share our beliefs in order to be our friends. All Souls is not a perfect church, and never will be. We are imperfect people striving to be a church where anyone will feel welcome, respected, and cared for. If you would like to meet for a cup of coffee or tea, shoot me an e-mail and we will set a time.

I have lived in Boulder for four years now and recently graduated from
CU. At All Souls we aim to create, and lead people into, an authentic participation in music. We use songs and hymns that are biblically accurate and beautifully written, recognizing both the human condition and character of God. I enjoy being apart of the realness of All Souls and like the idea
of providing a place for college students to be real with each other.
I'm pretty easily entertained and enjoy hanging out with people.
Wherever and whatever we may be doing.

I am a Colorado native (and since I'm one of the few, yes I do have a "native" sticker on my car!) and have recently returned to the area after 10 years of studies and ministry in other states. My desire to return to Boulder has much to do with a love of this culture and people, and a deep hope to be a part of beauty, community, and redemption in this particular place. I'm thankful and committed to being a part of this group of people struggling to know and love God and one another, and indebted to a gospel that reaches and redeems all of life.

My wife, Kara, and I moved to Colorado a couple of years ago to pursue our graduate degrees, hers in Education and mine at Seminary. Beyond that, I’m a firm believer in the idea we are here to “suck the marrow out of life.” I think that this is best done with friends who are intent on pursuing the journey together. It is my dream to be a part of a group of people committed to this end, and I feel fortunate to call All Souls my home, as we seem to be just that group of people. On a less serious note, I’m the last remaining fan of the Kansas City Royals (or close to it) and am absurdly passionate about a good cup of tea. If you’d like to talk baseball, tea, or anything at all, I’d love it. We’re in this together, after all.

I grew up in Nashville, TN and thought I would live there forever. Then I met my husband, Kirk, and the journey that God had for me began. We moved to St. Louis for Kirk to go to seminary. While there we felt God's call to do this crazy thing called church planting. We moved to Boulder in 2004 to start a church. I am continually blessed as I watch God knit together this community we call All Souls through His gospel of grace.
