All Souls Church is concerned not only with demonstrating Jesus’ compassion and care locally; we believe that God loves the whole world, and so should we. We connect with global ministry partners and organizations in order to serve the needs of the world and the Church throughout the world. The purpose of this specific CarePoint is to care and provide for the children of their surrounding neighborhood and La Limonada through after school programs, meals, tutoring, and love.
All Souls has made a long term (5-10 years) commitment to this partnership of financial and relational monthly support through sponsorship of children, along with letter writing between congregations and annual trips from All Souls to Guatemala as well as the potential of Belen staff to visiting Colorado. Preemptive Love is a partner we’ve had for a few years, but they are now merged with Search For Common Ground. This merger amplifies the impact of both organizations with the vision of advancing global peace. We also want to be engaged in what is happening outside of Boulder County and Preemptive Love has that reach. They are currently engaged in many projects around the globe aimed at stopping war, reducing the risk of war, or changing the ideas that lead to war. In a word: peacemaking. Preemptive Love is a resource that connects us to the world through awareness, information, and event-specific responses.
