Katie grew up in New York then Fort Collins, and after four years in Minnesota for college, has been firmly planted in Boulder since grad school. As a continued member of Catholic communities, she particularly loves the "&" of tradition & imagination at All Souls. She and her husband, Brent, have been coming to All Souls since Fall 2019, and love the sense of belonging they've experienced from Sunday services and Community Group. She's always up for a mountain bike ride, hike, or a nerdy conversation about renewable energy over a beer!

Torrey is a Colorado girl who spent a short hiatus at college in upstate New York, where she met her soon-to-be husband Houston. She started coming to All Souls while persevering through a PhD, which mostly consisted of shooting lasers through fire, and was thrilled to find a welcoming and supportive church community. Nowadays she continues to send lasers through fire as an optical engineer during the week and plays in the mountains on the weekend.

John grew up in Pennsylvania, but moved to Iowa after college. There he met and married Kim and they started a family. Travel and adventure are top of the list for them so they took their new baby (Hannah) to Switzerland and ended up staying almost seven years. Another child was born there (Elliott) and they finally exchanged the Alps for the Rockies in 2019, just in time for a global pandemic. Free time is spent hiking, camping, biking, and travelling with the family. If there's any leftover, then reading and writing fill up the remainder. All Souls has already brought some meaningful relationships and they look forward to many more.

Jim Biard is a 64-year-old software developer who has been following Jesus for pretty much his entire adult life. He enjoys outdoor sports, singing/performing, and being with people.

Steve has been a part of the All Souls Community since 2018. He and his wife, Jacquie, have lived in Boulder on and off since 2007 and have two kids (Rose & George). You can often find Steve working to combat climate change, playing with his kids, adventuring in the mountains, trying to learn new things, and at-the-ready for a heart-to-heart conversation. Steve loves All Soul’s service and social-justice orientation and is grateful to be a part of such an authentic and supportive spiritual community.

Annie is a Boulder native who is grateful to have found the All Souls community in the early part of 2020. She works in local government and in her free time can be found hiking, singing in choir, spending time with friends, and generally admiring the beauty of the natural world.

Erin was molded by a loving family where faith and church participation played a significant role in family life. She has a CPA practice in Lafayette and loves to read, paddleboard, meet up with friends and spend time with her husband, Matt, and their two newly-minted adult children.

Erica grew up in the Midwest (Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan) and moved to Cairo, Egypt after college to teach. The experience was transformative, and ever since, she has been passionate about working in international education and the beauty of intercultural exchange. She likes to welcome new friends into the All Souls community - as she herself was welcomed. And, she loves to camp, ski, and watch soccer with her husband and son.

Carey Franklin is an educator that facilitates conversations around personal stories of strength with students and adults across the country. She deeply cares for those she meets and is driven by a desire for everyone to feel like they are connected and belong.

Brian Rhea has been a part of the All Souls community since 2013 when he and his wife, Laura, along with their three kids moved to Boulder from the Dallas area. Brian is a lover of the big questions and a lover of places that relentlessly make room for people to ask those questions. He is both excited and humbled to join the leadership team and give back to All Souls, a place that has been — and, with the grace of God, will always be — one of those special places.

Laura was born in Denver and spent a number of years in Minneapolis and Chicago before moving back to Colorado in 2018 with her husband Chris and their two daughters, Eliza and Florence. Her love of the outdoors has taken her on innumerable adventures around the world and brought her to her profession as a landscape designer. When she's not climbing mountains, Laura can be found enjoying the finer things in life: sharing good books, movies and food with the people she cares about.

Brent began attending All Souls when he moved to Colorado from Flagstaff, Arizona in 2019. He grew up in the San Francisco area, and is pretty set on the mountain west after stints in Seattle, the Bay area again, Atlanta, Flagstaff, Washington DC, and Guyana. After working at Christian summer camps, leading high school youth, helping start a non-traditional church, and working as a mediocre academic, he believes strongly in the importance of authenticity, embracing questions, accepting grey spaces, and separating following Jesus from following American culture as we walk our faith journeys. Brent can usually be found playing outside in some form or another, creatively (mis)using the English language, and studying up on how to be a good dad.
